The Sonata for alto and Piano (1984) is not based ? as is common in the 'classical' sonata form ? on the dualism of two opposing themes.The dialectics are in the juxtaposition of two homogenous movements of contrasting character.The third movement brings, like a development, the analysis of motifs and structures of the first two movements.
